As a musician, I've had the pleasure of playing with many gifted and talented musicians. I grew up on the island of Alameda in the San Francisco Bay, going back to the late 70's and 80's, had many wonderful years playing music around the bay with a Eric von Radics, Mike Spinrad, Dan Zinn, James Bent, John McClellen, John Dennison, Greg Gallus, Leroy Thomas, Mark McGee, Marke "Jellyroll" Burgstahler, Monty Byrom, Brad Gillis, Dan Chancey, Will Kennedy, and many more. Moving forward I joined the Eddie Money Band in the late 80's and stayed until 1995 when I packed up my hush puppies and moved to TN...Nashville that is.
Now in the south, I went on the road with Rhett Akins, opening for Reba which was a good time. While out with Rhett, I met Linda Davis who I later went on the road with. What an amazing woman and singer. (Her daughter Hillary is now enjoying great success with her band, Lady Annabellum.) This time came to a close and I toured with a bunch of others for a couple more years before realizing...it was time for a change. And I changed!
I got my real estate license in 1996 and my wife and I also started a web development company in 1998 called eImageBuilders.com. By the time I came off the raod, there was plenty to do, including a website to help indie artists market their music which I did for 5 years called CDLimits.com. Though it never made money (what a surprise : ), it was a great time, and many became aware of the great music that was out there being created, that most never had the opportunity to hear! I did take a job as a project manager for a software company for several years, but then full time real estate took over and I got my brokers license in 2005. I've been off the road for almost 9 years now (as a full time thang that is) and though I miss it sometimes, it is sure nice to be home in Franklin TN!
I still play music and love doing it! Not only do I get to gig out with several talented regional bands, I also get to play at church with a pretty rockin' bunch of musicians that make music at church...well, not what I used to think of music at church! I also do other kinds of gigs, like playing at weddings, accompanying singers, or just playing solo. I often play with a guitar player friend as a duo around town, usually for corporate events, parties, or clubs, etc.
