Pauline is an independent singer/songwriter from the Okanagan Valley, in British Columbia, Canada.
She is a member of Music BC, SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada), BCCMA (British Columbia Country Music Association and the CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association).
Pauline began writing and performing music on a semi-professional basis, as a solo act and with various bands and musicians in the latter part of 2003.
Over the past 5 years, Pauline has learned much about DIY (doing-it-yourself) in the music business. Her craft has been well received and she has found success with her music locally, as well via the internet and various indie music sites.
Late in 2005, Pauline entered one of her songs;” Rainbow Café” into the Music BC (MAP Program) for which she won “3 days” of studio time at The Factory Studios in Vancouver, BC.
In April of 2008, Pauline was finally able to go in and use up the studio time she won, as well as finance the other associated costs of recording her first EP. Pauline was very fortunate to be able to hire and work with some of Canada’s music "best" on her recent CD project. They include:
Engineers: John Maclean and Sheldon Zaharko of The Factory Studios.
Drums: Pat Steward (The New Odds, Bryan Adams, Matt Good...).
Guitars: Shaun Verreault (solo performer, Wide Mouth Mason).
Bass: Doug Elliot (The New Odds).
Keyboards: Tyson Naylor.
Pauline’s “self-titled and self produced" debut EP was officially released June 12, 2008 and is available for purchase through CD Baby and Itunes.
Pauline was a spotlighted "independent artist" on CMT Canada during the broadcast of the Chevy Cross Canada Countdown with Casey Clarke (November 14 - 18, 2008)
Pauline is currently in the process of self-marketing and promoting her music through touring and live performances, as well other music media. She has recently begun a promotion campaign with RadioDirectX based out of Toronto, Ontario to assist to promote her CD to radio stations and music media worldwide.
