you are so right. its the old concept: we are the world. Its up to us to change and sustain while maintaining ethics and values. There is a difference between great art and the rest of it. We all need to stop looking to get signed. We dont need another loan that we cant pay back. Every artist needs a tribe...that is the essence of the internet. we have to be our own hunter/gatherers...i know it will work if the art is what drives us.
